I’m not great at making t-shirts; designs at all really. The lack of success combined with my inability to completely understand Gimp and Inkscape has left me with no confidence in my ability to make a product that someone would want to buy. Still though, on and off I get inspired by something and begin attempting to put something together that someone might find… fashionable?
The most recent inspiration was my discovery of the free Adobe apps for Android. They have a feature that lets you create “shapes” from objects you photograph. What’s the first thing I did with it? I’m not proud of it, but I took a selfie. The result wasn’t terrible, and the inspiration continued to drive me to update the logo (technically a series of logos) for the blog. Check them out.
That’s a lot of ugly. I put it to Facebook to decide their favorites and this was the order they finished in. There was another one too, a “fake bug” version that I personally really liked and that I thought would be the most popular choice. Surprisingly, the image at the top of the garnered more votes than all the other images combined. I was gobstruck that people seemed to like my face better than:
^ Pretty cool, right? ^
I like all of them, therefore you’re going to see a lot more of them, as soon as I can figure out how to effectively use them. The inspiration train didn’t stop there however. With the success of the logos I was propelled further and eventually I came up with three t-shirt ideas that I am really proud of. Please, check them out. To relieve any confusion, here are the three new t-shirts.
Please leave a comment to let me know what you think. The only way to get better is to know what I am doing right. If you REALLY like them, the link take you to my store, or you can go to the “T-Shirt Shoppe” tab on the title bar. Shop, with an extra “pe” because that’s the classy level I roll on.
