White on Whites Violence

Posted 14 March 2012. This is mostly me testing out new a christmas present and a new software download. It isn’t great, but I think it shows a little improvement over the last two. Minus the sounds of fornicating robots, apologies for the dubstep.

The Winter Fish

Posted 14 Dec, 2011. The idea was to showcase the combat fishing locally for puny trout. Generally the fly-anglers do better than cheese and corn chunkers. However the weather kept most of the competition away, and most of the fish from biting. Still, there was footage… Let’s be honest, sometimes this is how it is.

Good stuff, Brandon. Really like the Texas River Bum production. That looks like a sweet river with no pressure. Keep it coming.

May I ask what is up with the name? REASON: My father created a fly called “The One-Bug” and another called L-Eye-Bee. I have spent the last 35 years fishing this pattern and send them out all over the world for people to try. So …from one fly fisher to another, I take a VERY slight offense to One Bug is Fake; as I am trying to carry on a legacy after my fathers death in 2006. More just curious why you say one bug is fake.

Here is a link to said pattern: http://flyanglersonline.com/flytying/fotw2/011507fotw.php

also published in The Fly Fishing and Tying Journal in Summer issue 2002.

P.S.- I do pride myself on being a budget fly fisherman and doing the best I can to acquire quality gear at the least expensive price possible.

    Thanks,
    Wade

The One Bug is Fake is referring to matching the hatch. Off all the bugs on the water, one bug is fake. No offense intended, but I’ve never heard of the fly called a One Bug until I read this. It’s a great pattern, a great Fake Bug to fish.
